We’re excited to announce our partnership with AKM 🤝 Founded in 1936, AKM is Austria’s collecting society for authors, composers, and music publishers, managing performance, broadcast, and mechanical rights for its members worldwide. This collaboration makes it easier for Rebeat clients to manage their rights and collect royalties internationally. Here’s what it means for you:

  Unlimited releases without upfront distribution fees when you connect your AKM account. You can sign up directly via the Extras tab of the MES or the MES Web dashboard.

  Connect your AKM and Rebeat accounts for seamless rights management.
• Global rights protection 🌍
  AKM collects performance and mechanical royalties worldwide, ensuring your works are fully protected and monetized.

How it works for Rebeat clients:

1. Sign up for AKM or connect your existing AKM account in the Extras tab of the MES or via the AKM service portal on the MES Web dashboard.
2. During release upload, enter your AKM work registration data for each work.
3. Rebeat forwards your song metadata to AKM so your works can be registered and royalties collected.

This partnership ensures your music earns what it deserves while your rights are fully secured🔒
Even if you are not yet a Rebeat client, registering through AKM gives you a real advantage. If you are already registered with the AKM or sign up now, you also save the 149€ fee for Rebeat registration – so feel free to spread the word!

In our newsletter from November 3rd, we already announced that starting February 1st, 2026, channels that have been inactive for over a year will be automatically unlinked from our CMS. Inactive means that the channel has not shared any new videos or Community Posts for over a year.

What happens when a channel is unlinked:

• Your content will remain fully on YouTube

• We will no longer manage the channel’s content

• Monetization will no longer run through our AdSense account

• You will no longer be able to view analytics or reports in the MES

• The channel itself remains active on YouTube, with all videos, subscribers, and settings intact

You can now make use of a SoundCloud Artist ID in the MES and MES Web to accurately link new releases to existing artist profiles. This is a new feature for SoundCloud; until now, our system already supported Spotify, Deezer, and Apple Music Artist IDs for precise profile matching.
A SoundCloud Artist ID is the unique identifier in the artist’s SoundCloud URL (everything after “soundcloud.com/”) and ensures your release is mapped to the correct profile rather than creating a duplicate.

By entering the ID during metadata setup in the MES or MES Web, the release will appear under the correct profile, consolidating followers and plays. If no ID is entered or no existing profile exists, a new SoundCloud artist profile will be generated automatically. Thanks to the Artist ID system, duplicates will no longer occur, so there is no need to unify profiles manually. This gives you full flexibility to match releases to current profiles or deliberately create new ones.

Please note that adding an artist ID currently works only for new releases. Metadata updates for releases that have already been delivered must be handled manually through us. Please contact us and we will assist you promptly.
