Shazam

Shazam

Shazam identifies music from short audio samples and connects recognized songs with artist information, charts and links to streaming and download services.

About Shazam

Shazam is Apple’s music recognition platform. The app identifies songs from a short audio sample and then displays the title, artist, artwork and additional links.

Recognized songs can, among other things, be opened or saved in Apple Music. Shazam is therefore an important discovery channel that connects music heard on radio, social media, in clubs, advertising and everyday life with digital artist and release pages.

Aggregated recognitions contribute to Shazam charts and to analytics within Apple Music for Artists.

Key Markets

Shazam is used worldwide and is particularly important in markets with high smartphone, radio, social-media and streaming usage.
