Please continue sharing any feedback, bugs, or suggestions you may encounter.
Below you will find an overview of the latest updates.
We also have news for DJs and beat makers this month: your tracks can now be delivered to Volumo — details further below.

New Features in the MES Web
Explore the latest features now available in MES Web:
Analytics
You can now access your Dailies, Pre-Sales, and Final Accounting stats directly in MES Web. The redesigned interface lets you filter by time, DSP, country, release, and more for a clear, customized view of your data. Plus, with the new export function, you can easily save your data as spreadsheets or images.
Release Page
Get a complete overview of all key metadata by selecting a release in the “Online” section. From EANs and ISRCs to contributors, promotion details, and even daily sales, everything you entered during upload is now available at a glance.
Smart Link Management
Take full control of your smart links in MES Web. Open and share them instantly with your team or fans, add missing links by pasting them into the matching store, and even embed them on your website using the convenient HTML Snippet.
YouTube Management
Manage your music’s presence on YouTube with the YouTube Management tool. View all videos claimed by YouTube Content ID, inspect individual uses, or export a complete list of claims.
If another distributor or label uses your music, ownership conflicts may arise. During a conflict, YouTube holds all revenue from affected videos until one party is confirmed as the rights holder in all or selected countries. Any conflicts are listed in the Conflict list within YouTube Management.
-
Select Claim to notify us so we can reach out to the other rightsholders and help resolve the conflict.
-
Select Release if you no longer hold exclusive rights or if another party should control the music on YouTube.

Apple Music AI Metadata Updates
Apple Music has recently introduced new AI “Transparency Tags”, giving labels and distributors the option to indicate if artificial intelligence was used in creating a release. These tags cover everything from artwork and sound recordings to compositions, lyrics, and music videos. The goal is to increase transparency in the music industry and help listeners understand how AI may have contributed to a track.
Currently, adding these tags is optional, but Apple may require them for all future releases. Staying ahead of these changes is a smart way to ensure your music is always fully compatible with Apple Music’s evolving guidelines.
We’ve made it easy for you: MES now supports AI metadata tagging. When delivering your releases, you can choose to include these tags directly in the platform. This not only keeps your music ready for Apple Music’s framework but also helps you show transparency in your creative process — something increasingly valued by both fans and industry partners.

Instagram “Music on Profile” – New Fan Notification Feature
Following initial tests in 2025, Meta has officially launched the Music on Profile feature on Instagram. This update gives artists a new way to directly engage their most dedicated fans by sending notifications when adding music to their profile.
With this feature, artists can highlight both pre-release teasers and newly released tracks, helping drive awareness and early engagement right where their audience is most active.
How it works:
-
When adding a teaser or new track to their profile, artists can send in-app notifications directly to their top fans.
-
Teasers can be promoted during the pre-release phase, while new tracks can be pushed within 7 days of release.
-
Up to 4 songs can be promoted every 30 days, with a 3-day cooldown between each promotion.
This feature provides a simple but effective way to boost visibility and connect with fans at key release moments — directly within Instagram.

Spotify “Loud & Clear” – Latest Industry Insights
Spotify’s latest Loud & Clear report highlights continued growth in streaming revenues and artist earnings across the platform. In 2025 alone, Spotify paid out over $11 billion to the music industry — the highest annual payout from any music retailer to date.
The report also shows that more artists are generating meaningful income: over 13,800 artists earned $100,000+ annually, while the number of high-earning and independent (DIY) artists continues to rise.
A key trend is the increasing globalization of music consumption, with more than half of artist royalties coming from international audiences and hits emerging in a wider range of languages than ever before.
At the same time, Spotify reinforces its streamshare model, where payouts are based on an artist’s share of total streams — meaning overall revenue grows as the platform and subscriber base expand.
Overall, the report underlines a growing and more global music economy, while continuing to position streaming as a key driver of artist income and discovery.
