This is a\u00a0<strong data-start=\"284\" data-end=\"299\">new feature<\/strong>\u00a0for SoundCloud; until now, our system already supported\u00a0<strong data-start=\"356\" data-end=\"403\">Spotify, Deezer, and Apple Music Artist IDs<\/strong>\u00a0for precise profile matching.<br \/>\n<strong data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"460\">A SoundCloud Artist ID<\/strong>\u00a0is the unique identifier in the artist\u2019s SoundCloud URL (everything after \u201csoundcloud.com\/\u201d) and ensures your release is mapped to the correct profile rather than creating a duplicate.<\/p>\n<p>By entering the ID during metadata setup in\u00a0<strong data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"715\">the MES or MES Web<\/strong>, the release will appear under the correct profile, consolidating followers and plays. If no ID is entered or no existing profile exists, a new SoundCloud artist profile will be generated automatically. Thanks to the Artist ID system, duplicates\u00a0<strong data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"986\">will no longer occur<\/strong>, so there is no need to unify profiles manually. This gives you full flexibility to\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1109\">match releases to current profiles<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1145\">deliberately create new ones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that adding an artist ID currently works only for\u00a0<strong id=\"isPasted\" data-start=\"173\" data-end=\"189\" data-is-only-node=\"\">new releases<\/strong>. Metadata updates for releases that have already been delivered must be handled\u00a0<strong data-start=\"270\" data-end=\"293\">manually through us<\/strong>.
